YOUR CHALLENGE
Design a unique and striking package to contain, transport, and market a generic product.
WHO CAN ENTER
All students who attend recognized secondary or post-secondary institutions in the continental United States who are studying in a graphic communications/printing, advertising, graphic design or interactive media program.
HOW TO ENTER
All student entries must be submitted by their instructor.
Secondary instructors may submit up to 5 entries; one entry per student.
Post-secondary instructors may submit an unlimited number of entries; one entry per student.

Complete the online entry form accompanied by a digital photo of the package and a PDF of the dieline.
OPTIONAL: Mail the assembled package with a copy of the entry form to: Student Design Competition, c/o GAERF, 1899 Preston White Drive, Reston, VA 20191.
All entries must be:
  • Completed during the 2013-2014 school year.
  • Original work of the student and contain no copyrighted materials or photos.
  • Submitted by the instructor.
  • Received by the deadline: Friday, June 13, 2014.
JUDGING & PRIZES
Entries selected by GAERF will be judged by a panel of industry professionals.
1st Place Awards: $2,000 plus a two-day trip
(Sept. 29-Oct. 1, 2014),
all expenses paid, for the student and instructor to attend GRAPH EXPO 14 in Chicago, IL

(1 secondary school winner;
1 post-secondary school winner)
2nd Place Awards: $1,500
(1 secondary school winner;
1 post-secondary school winner)
3rd Place Awards: $1,000
(1 secondary school winner;
1 post-secondary school winner)
TAKE A BOW!
First place winners will receive their awards at GRAPH EXPO 14 during Career Awareness Day on Wednesday, October 1, 2014.
Other winners will receive their awards via USPS delivery by Wednesday, October 1, 2014.
Student entries will be showcased online at www.graphicCOMMcentral.org, and also in GRAPH EXPO’s Education Main Street pavilion.
