The GAERF 2016 Student Design Competition presents...

Infograph It!

at a glance.

THE CHALLENGE

Design and create an engaging printed item incorporating an infographic that presents complex information quickly and clearly on a topic of your choice. The design must incorporate a reference, URL link or other, to the source of information on your topic.

WHO CAN ENTER

All students who attend recognized secondary or post-secondary institutions in the continental United States who are studying in a graphic communications/printing, advertising, graphic design or interactive media program.

HOW TO ENTER

All student entries must be submitted by their instructor.
Instructors are encouraged to submit an unlimited number of entries; one entry per student.

Complete the online entry form to be accompanied by a digital image of the printed item.
Mail the printed item with a copy of the entry form to:

Reston, VA 20191.

All entries must be:

  • completed during the 2015-2016 school year.
  • the original work of the student and contain no copyrighted content or images.
  • submitted by the instructor.
  • received by the deadline: Friday, June 3, 2016.

GENERAL INFORMATION

JUDGING & PRIZES


Entries selected by GAERF will be judged by a panel of industry professionals.

1st Place Awards:

$2,000 plus a two-day trip
(Sept. 27-28, 2016),
all expenses paid, for the student and instructor to attend GRAPH EXPO 16 in Orlando, FL
(1 secondary school winner;
1 post-secondary school winner)

2nd Place Awards:

$1,500
(1 secondary school winner;
1 post-secondary school winner)

3rd Place Awards:

$1,000
(1 secondary school winner;
1 post-secondary school winner)

TAKE A BOW!

First place winners will receive their awards at GRAPH EXPO 16 during Career Awareness Day on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.

Other winners will receive their awards via USPS delivery by Friday, October 31, 2016.

Student entries will be showcased online at: www.graphicCOMMcentral.org, and also in GRAPH EXPO’s Education Main Street pavilion.
